Tamatar ni chutney

Tamatar ni chutney or Tomatoes Chutney is a day-to-day common recipe cooked in every household, though with variations. The recipe today, I am going to share is a simple basic Sindhi style chutney that is well garnished and sprinkled with black pepper powder.

The difference in this recipe is that it has ingredients from renowned "Chakri - Originals." These are organic products that really brighten and lighten up your food and prove beneficial too. Here's the recipe:



Tomato Sabzi (Chutney)

Ingredients (for 4 people)

  • Medium sized tomatoes – 4
  • Oil – one cup
  • Red chili powder – 2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper powder - 2 teaspoon and for garnishing
  • Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Garam masala powder – ½ teaspoon

Procedure

  • Blend the tomatoes coarsely in a mixer.
  • Heat 2 tablespoon oil in a pan.
  • Add the tomato puree and let it boil.
  • Mix salt, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, turmeric powder and cook it on medium flame for 15- 20 minutes.
  • Throw in some pepper powder and cook the tomato chutney till it is dry.
  • Garnish with black pepper powder and serve hot with briyani or rotis.
